1. How to choose the right air conditioner capacity? On average, for Barcelona, the calculation is 1 kW of power per 10 m² of floor space with standard ceilings. 10. Why has the air conditioner stopped cooling as well as it used to? The main reasons are: dust contamination of the outdoor unit, clogged filters in the indoor unit, or a micro-leak of freon. Diagnosis with a pressure gauge is required.
